Four Play: A Showcase of Play Readings

Our next production is a weekend of play readings, which coincides with the Cookstown Wing Ding weekend.  Play readings will be held on the evenings of Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and on the afternoon of Sunday.  Details on the readings can be found on the Show Listings page.  Tickets ($5.00 each session) are available by calling the Box Office at 705-458-4432.

Festival Awards 2011/2012

In last season’s ACT-CO (Association of Community Theatres – Central Ontario) Festival, South Simcoe Theatre (SST) entered two of its productions for adjudication against other productions in Central Ontario.  SST was awarded two THEAs and was nominated in three categories.  Here follow the details:

·         Amelie Larente awarded THEA for Best Sound Design for a Drama for Fireworks.

·         Daniel Summerfield awarded THEA for the Drama Adjudicator’s Award for Best Performance by a Young Actor in a Leading Role for his role as “Jamie” in Fireworks.

·         Ann Johnston nominated for Best Performance by a Female in a Supporting Role in a Musical for her role as “Vi Moore” in Footloose.

·         Mark Hoffman nominated for Best Lighting Design for a Drama for Fireworks.

·         Christina Luck nominated for Best Set Design for a Drama for Fireworks.

Auditions for That December Show
